Often those who are passionate about their beliefs refuse to acknowledge obvious truths because those truths can be used by people that they find repugnant. Mr. Mehta’s essay is a case in point.
Although I have not read The Triple Package, Ms. Chau recently published an essay summarizing her arguments. I was not impressed.
However, it is clear that certain ethnic groups in the United States fare much better than others as measured by social mobility, educational achievement etc. It is also clear that the cultures that these groups bring with them plays a significant role in that success.
Many on the left use the charge of racism to cover their lack of cogent arguments. This is not dissimilar to those on the right and left who call their opponents fascists.
