I would like to provide more fact checking, but unfortunately every other damn website I looked at had a really strong viewpoint, either right wing or left wing. *sigh*

Looks like mostly the Administration front men making misleading statements. Not much being heard from the Republicans in Congress.

It almost seems like the Republicans are right on this one, that things aren't that bad, but if that is so, why did they have to make this grand bargain and spend the last couple of years hyping it? My gut feeling is still that it's going to be a snowball that starts slowly until it reaches a certain size and weight, then look out downhill! But it's not easy to see where this is going.

Well, Obama administration figures have made some exaggerations, but the military cuts will be far from painless, especially to the civilian staff who have to take a pay cut. Some jobs will be lost too.
I am struck by the Republican intransigence- before the election willing to talk about closing tax loopholes, but now, sorry nope.

No Chris it is your side that has refused to negotiate....The Dems have refused reasonable cuts and insisted on increased taxes.

Simple fact is that the sequester is miniscule when compared to the federal budget.
44 billion in cuts this year and a total of 85 billion when compared to the 3'600 billion federal budget.
