Al Gore Is Now A Big Oil Profiteer

Former Vice President, self proclaimed inventor of the Internet, global warming alarmist, Al Gore is now officially a Big Oil Profiteer. He sold his failed TV network, Current TV, to Al Jazeera TV for $500 million. Al Jazeera is funded mostly by Qatar, a major oil producer in the Middle East. This means that Al Gore is making a huge profit from oil revenues. Al Jazeera will be closing Current TV and mainly using the channel space and licensing. The biggest change will come from having an American based anti-American Channel to and off-shore anti-American Channel. In essence that would make Gore and job out-sourcer as well. Further, Al Gore and his partners had tried to close the deal prior to December 31st to avoid Obama's Tax increases starting this year. It actually closed on Jan 2nd. I am glad that Al Gore will now have to "Pay His Fair Share" as he advocates that all of us must do.

It should also be noted that Al Gore rejected an offer from Glenn Beck, who would have used the channel as part of his Blaze TV brand.

In the end Al Gore, Al Jazeera, not much difference.

Al Gore is one of the worst Americans I can name. Really who would have thought an ex-vicepresident would sell to anti-americans to benefit his pocket. GREED will or has ruined the best country in the world.

Why is it people think idealism or altruism precludes the reality of self-interest. As I remember reality, there is no free lunch included with life. its a dog eat dog existence.

Yoshi, it is a dog eat dog world, however, one should never criticize one dog for eating another unless he himself is willing to stop eating dogs. Al Gore loves to criticize people for everything, while at the same time engaging in the same activities he is condemning.

Point taken, however there is another consideration here in that the publics unrealistic expectations in ethical behaviour is of itself rediculus; in light of the understanding that the only control we actually possess is over our own behaviour and not that of anyone else. Lets face it we all lie to one degree or another whether by omission, deception, protection, misinformation or some other standard, so why would anyone with a grain of intelligence expect something different from a politician?

Standards of success today seem to revlove around criticizing either someone or something; why else do most parents teach this by example. Don't do as I do but do as I say.
